The United States Bureau of Mines & Sinclair Refining Company produced this educational film to educate the general public about the petroleum & oil industries within America. The shows oil exploration activities, drilling for oil, the refining processes and uses of the the final products. Includes many transport related scenes of cars, trains and planes as well as the large refineries in action and general scenes of American life in the 1940's and 50's.

Note: this film is a revision of an earlier documentary called "World Stuggle for Oil".
