I have been working on some productions that make use of the multitouch tables that have sprung up all over the place. Many come from glass manufacturers that have developed solutions with projectors, others such as Microsoft have come from the software side and made the Microsoft Surface solution. As you may recall from a previous video vimeo.com/8234711, making living catalogues of content - whether in a library or museum seems to be the most relevant use of this technology. What has changed in the last two years is that the software has become more stable, the devices are faster and less heavy and prices have come down. Some broadcasters have used it in sports and election programmes, but it still looks gimmicky and is prone to problems if the screen doesn't react immediately. So, enter these guys from Finland.
