Slightly longer chainstays and an intelligently drawn dropout allow for larger tires and racks without making the bike handle like a dump truck. For 2014, we’ve gone ahead and added an X9 Type 2 derailleur to eliminate drivetrain mishaps and a 160mm front rotor for extra stopping power. We also drew up a new Wet Bar handlebar with a short reach and shallow flared drops to keep you comfy on those long rough descents. Top it off with some tubeless compatible Alex CXD 7 wheels, and you’re ready to roll. The Kona Rove, bring a light, it’s going to be a long ride.
